Professional Experience
Pierson is a Program Associate at Search for Common Ground, a peacebuilding nonprofit with HQ in Washington, DC and Brussels, Belgium. He is currently based in Tunis in the Tunisia office. He previously worked as a Senior Consultant for an educational consultancy in Beirut, Lebanon as well as AMIDEAST, a Department of State-funded nonprofit, in Tunis.
Achievements
Pierson previously served as a Research and Translation Intern on Syrian Conflict at the Humanitarian Research Services in Jordan.
Affiliations
Pierson previously volunteered at the Collateral Repair Project, teaching English to Iraqi and Syrian refugee children from ages 5-11 in eastern Amman.
Passion for Social Impact
Pierson is driven by a passion for bridging cross-cultural divides through peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and increasing economic opportunity. He believes that almost any problem can be solved via a practical approach that combines contextual understanding of underlying issues combined with an innovative and inclusive approach to resolution. He seeks to incorporate data analysis into his projects where possible.
