Professional Experience

Lange Luntao has over a decade of experience in the fields of education, philanthropy, and policy. He currently serves as the Director of External Relations at the Education Trust-West, leading campaigns that contribute to educational equity for all of California’s students. Lange previously co-founded the Reinvent Stockton Foundation, where he worked with Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs to raise over $30 million for efforts to reverse the brain drain from his hometown, including launching Stockton Scholars, a city-wide college scholarship program that to date has served over 3,000 students.

Achievements

Alongside Mayor Michael Tubbs (founding Board Chair), Lange launched Stockton Scholars, a city-wide scholarship program funded with a $20 million seed donation from the Spiegel Family Foundation. In its first year, and with a staff of only 3 people, Stockton Scholars distributed over 1,000 scholarships, beating peer-developed benchmarks by over 30%.
