Professional Experience

Hewette Moore is the Director of Academic Development Services at the Institute for Student Achievement. Prior to joining the ISA team, she worked at various education reform organizations for over 8 years. In her most recent role, she served as the Program Manager of the Education Support Initiatives for Play at the Core, Right To Play’s play-based early learning program serving marginalized communities throughout New York City. Hewetté holds a BA from Boston College and an MA in Educational Leadership, Politics and Advocacy from New York University.

Achievements

Hewetté has raised $1.5M dollars to date in grant funding for the Institute for Student Achievement.

Affiliations

Hewetté is also an emerging videographer and 2019 Brooklyn fellow of the two-time, New York Emmy-nominated BRIC Documentary Intensive Program. She hopes her work offers alternatives to dominant historical and contemporary narratives of Black lives and shares stories of Blackness in more nuanced, complex, and acceptable ways.
