5 Nonprofits to Support this Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to show generosity in this season of giving. We’re lucky to work with many inspiring nonprofits all year, and wanted to showcase campaigns from a few of our partners and friends today supporting game changing programs — from saving the lives of LGBTQ+ young people to addressing gender-based violence. Together, let’s make a difference.
ICAAD
ICAAD is a human rights advocacy center working at the intersection of legal innovation and design justice. They use our expertise to help communities and governments to create a more equitable future. This Giving Tuesday, ICAAD is fundraising tackling gender-based violence in the Pacific and Caribbean, where they are using data and advocacy to increase access to justice for millions of women and girls. Stockton Service Corps
The Support Reinvent Stockton Foundation and its programs Stockton Scholars and Stockton Service Corps is dedicated to supporting students in their pursuit of higher education and supporting innovative ways to address poverty and violent crime. This Giving Tuesday, Stockton Service Corps is fundraising for the Stockton Service Corps Emergency fund to support service fellows through unforeseen circumstances. The fund has been used to assist with rent, utilities, car repairs and transportation, groceries, medical expenses and more. Donate here.
Multiplying Good
Multiplying Good offers powerful programs that help individuals discover their potential through service to others. This Giving Tuesday, they’re fundraising for their Students In Action (SIA) program, a unique youth service, leadership and recognition program that supports, trains and empowers today’s youth to be leaders, problem solvers, entrepreneurs and impactful global citizens. Donate here.
Ali Forney Center
The Ali Forney Center was founded in 2002 in memory of Ali Forney, a homeless gender-nonconforming youth who was forced to live on the streets, where they were tragically murdered. Committed to saving the lives of LGBTQ+ young people, their mission is to protect them from the harms of homelessness and empower them with the tools needed to live independently. This holiday season, they’re launching their annual Homeless for the Holidays campaign to give voice to the stories of their youth and fundraise to provide care and support for youth. Donate here.
First Tech Fund
First Tech Fund is a nonprofit dedicated to closing the digital divide by supporting high school students of underserved backgrounds in New York City with free technology, unlimited broadband, targeted mentorship, practical skills, and opportunities to succeed in the modern world. This Giving Tuesday, they’re fundraising to support graduation for current students in the program, to increase the number of students able to participate in the program for the next cycle, and for an emergency fund for college-aged alumni.
